Six hours a week back for every teacher

St Alden's Academy Trust

Four schools, five disconnected systems and teachers entering the same data three times.

  • 6 hrssaved per teacher weekly
  • −68%office phone enquiries
  • 96%in-term fee collection
01

The challenge

Attendance was taken on paper and typed up at lunchtime. Reports to parents were assembled manually each term. Fee chasing ran from a spreadsheet maintained by one person, and the office fielded constant calls for information already recorded somewhere.

02

What we built

Tap-to-mark registers on any device feed statutory attendance reporting and trigger absence alerts to parents automatically. Mark books feed the parent portal directly, so termly reports generate rather than being written.

Fees, trips and consent forms all run through the same parent app.

03

The outcome

Teachers recovered roughly six hours a week. Office phone enquiries dropped 68%. Fee collection within term rose to 96%.

Our teachers got six hours a week back. Not from a clever feature — just from stopping them entering the same information into three systems.
