One-off means you pay for the build and own the result outright. A care plan is a separate optional monthly arrangement covering patching, backups, monitoring and a pot of development hours. You can take the build without a care plan — plenty of clients host it themselves.

Never. You pay your payment processor their fee and nothing else. Commission models are why hosted platforms get expensive precisely when your business starts working.

Hardware, third-party licences (payment terminals, SMS credits, mapping APIs) and hosting are billed at cost and listed separately in every quote. We do not mark them up.

Yes. Standard terms are 40% to start, 40% at the agreed midpoint and 20% on launch. Larger platform builds are billed per delivered phase, so you are never far ahead of what you have received.

No. You keep the specification, the prototype and the costed plan — you could hand them to any other developer. If you do proceed with us, the fee comes off the build price in full.
