The challenge
Orders were written on pads and misread. Three delivery-platform tablets cluttered the pass, each order re-keyed into the till. Gross profit per dish was calculated once a year, by which point supplier prices had moved.
What we built
Handheld ordering at the table routes straight to station-specific kitchen screens. Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat orders land on the same screens. Recipe costing updates GP live as supplier prices change.
The outcome
Average table turn improved by seven minutes and Friday covers rose 22% with the same staff. Food waste fell 18% once theoretical-versus-actual usage was visible.
The pass used to have three delivery tablets on it and a chef swearing at them. Now everything arrives on one screen. Friday covers are up twenty-two percent with the same team.
